- Complete 30 successful venipuncture sticks on live individuals

Health Academy
Health Academy
In the Health Academy, you will encounter career opportunities across the medical field while building a professional vocabulary to translate and understand medical records. You will gain clinical experience taking vital signs, performing phlebotomy procedures, and assisting patients with day-to-day care activities. You will study basic pharmacology, mental health, and acute care nursing while focusing on patient safety and legal ethics. During first semester, you can earn the Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) credential. In the second semester, you choose either the Health Technology pathway to pursue certifications such as Patient Care Technician, Medical Assistant, or Phlebotomist, or, if eligible, the High School Practical Nursing pathway, which prepares you for the NCLEX-PN exam and licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) through offsite clinical experiences.
