In this program, you will discover the essentials of flight by exploring aviation theory, aircraft instruments, and understanding maneuvers like takeoffs, landings, and stall recoveries. You will learn to use radar and communication systems to safely sequence approaches, departures, and ground operations through simulated air traffic control exercises. This program gives you real-world skills needed to safely navigate airport environments and fly unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) with an emphasis on weather interpretation and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.

Career Expectations

  • Work in various weather conditions (indoors/outdoors/summer/winter)
