College Credit Options at Great Oaks

By completing a program or specific courses at Great Oaks, you may be eligible for college credit.

College Credit Plus.  If you took College Credit Plus (CCP) classes at Great Oaks or a college campus, you have earned credit that may be transferable to Ohio public colleges and universities. Be sure include your college transcripts when applying to college.

College Credit for Career-Technical Courses.  Great Oaks participates in the Ohio Career-Technical Credit Transfer program, also known as CTAG.  NOTE:  Not all Great Oaks courses qualify for CTAG credit; to see which courses are included, go to Career Technical | Transfer Credit Ohio.

Courses that qualify may be converted to college credit if these conditions are met:

  • You successfully complete your career-technical courses and pass the WebXams and/or industry credentials.  (WebXams are the end-of-course assessments.)
  • Enroll in a public Ohio college or university that offers career majors with aligned courses.  To see whether your chosen school has aligned courses, go to Career Technical | Transfer Credit Ohio.
  • The CTAG credits earned are communicated from Great Oaks directly to the college or university using your Statewide Student Identifier Number (SSID#). When enrolling, be sure to share this information with the admissions and/or your academic advisor. If needed, your SSID# can be found on your high school transcript.

Articulated Credit.  For some career programs, Great Oaks has specific agreements with certain colleges.  If you attend one of those colleges in a field related to the Great Oaks program, you may get credit toward a specific degree.  Check with your career-technical instructor for details and eligibility requirements for these credits.

If you have questions regarding college credit, contact your career-technical instructor or your counselor at your campus.
