Uniform Expectations for CTE Programs
We celebrate your individuality and personal style. However, each CTE program has specific uniform requirements for safety and to reflect professional standards. Uniform/dress code choices must adhere to the following guidelines set by the Great Oaks Board:
- Safety First: Uniforms must meet safety standards and not present health hazards.
- Professional Appearance: Attire should demonstrate professionalism and support the learning environment.
Staff will model appropriate attire and enforce the dress code fairly. The Dean will oversee the enforcement of these policies, ensuring a fair and respectful approach for all students.

Campus Specific Dress Code:
At Live Oaks Career Campus, we believe in preparing students for the professional world. Dressing appropriately is an important part of this preparation, and students are expected to be in uniform all day, every day.
Items NOT permitted at any time:
- Jeans with holes or embellishments
- shorts
- pajamas
- sandals/open-toed shoes
- tank tops/crop tops

Where to order uniforms:
- Custom-design lab shirts (T-shirts, polos, etc.) for all programs except Digital Arts & Design must be purchased from Threadin’ It Up
- Order here after June 15, 2026: Threadin' It Up
- Uniform pants and footwear can be purchased from major retailers such as Amazon, Gabe’s, Target, or Walmart

- All black non-slip, non-permeable leather or leather-like shoes must be worn at all times – No Crocs allowed

Digital Arts & Design

- Professional jeans (no rips, holes, fringe)
- No shorts, skirts, leggings, sweats or active wear permitted
- Shoes: Closed toe footwear; dress shoes or business casual, nice boots, gym shoes, etc. (i.e. Vans Docs)
- No Sandals or flip flops permitted
Early Childhood Education
- Custom design lab shirt

- Khaki, blue, gray or black pants (no leggings)
- Closed toe shoes
- Great Oaks/Live Oaks spirit wear
- Black polo with Great Oaks logo will be a requirement for students as a form of professional dress
Exercise Science & Sports Medicine
All required attire must be ordered through Threadin’ It Up
- Required tops: program logoed - black only
- Top must be worn as outside layer
- Outerwear options available - consider cold months when making selections
- Required fitness attire:
- Minimum of
- 1 pair of black program logoed shorts – shorts are permitted during lab only
- 1 short sleeve black program logoed top
- Minimum of
- Bottoms: black, grey, blue, brown or khaki only – athletic, yoga or khakis only
- NO jeans or pajama pants
- Optional logoed sweatpants available
- Footwear: sneakers only
Health Technology
- Custom design lab shirt

- Black scrub top with pockets – one required, two suggested
- Black scrub pants
- Non-permeable closed-toe shoes with a full back (no crocs or open back shoes)
- Plain short/long sleeve t-shirt maybe worn underneath scrub top
- Any Great Oaks or plain hoodies/tops/sweatshirt unless at clinical site
- Wristwatch with second hand
- Black polo with Great Oaks logo will be a requirement for students as a form of professional dress
- Senior students may wear scrub top and pants of choice (color/print)
Heating, Ventilating, & Air Conditioning
- Custom design lab shirt

- Black or grey Great Oaks logo t-shirt
- Black or grey crew neck Greak Oaks logo hoodie
- Blue jeans or work pants (no holes or embellishments )
- Leather steel toe safety shoe or composite work boots (no athletic/gym/tennis shoes)

Heavy Equipment Operations & Engineering
- Custom design lab shirt and hi-vis lab hoodie

- Hi-vis green short/long sleeve button down and/or pocket t-shirt
- Blue jeans (no holes or embellishments)
- Black hooded sweatshirt
- Construction bib overalls
- Construction jacket/coat
- Work gloves - brown jersey or leather
- Required:
- Steel toe, waterproof boots (6” high recommended)
- A change of shoes when not in the lab
- Two pairs of steel-toed muck boots (spare pair left in locker)
- Spare uniform (to leave in their lockers for muddy days)

Information Technology
