Laurel Oaks Uniforms
Laurel Oaks Career Campus Uniform Information
Uniform Expectations for CTE Programs
We celebrate your individuality and personal style. However, each CTE program has specific uniform requirements for safety and to reflect professional standards. Uniform/dress code choices must adhere to the following guidelines set by the Board of Education:
- Safety First: Uniforms must meet safety standards and not present health hazards.
- Professional Appearance: Attire should demonstrate professionalism and support the learning environment.
- Policy Adherence: The school's dress code will help maintain order and protect school property.
Staff will model appropriate attire and enforce the dress code fairly. The Dean will oversee the enforcement of these policies, ensuring a fair and respectful approach for all students.
Thank you for helping us create a safe and professional atmosphere!
Campus Specific Dress Code:
*Students will order program shirts in lab during the first week of school.
All Laurel students are required to be dressed in their program uniform all day, every day. Students must be in uniform before the school day starts. We believe we are building the professionalism expected in their chosen field of study, and we want all students to be proud of the career they have chosen to pursue.
- All clothing must be in good condition, with no holes. Leggings, sweatpants, and pajama pants are never acceptable as uniform attire.
- Blankets are not permitted.
- Sunglasses and bandannas are not permitted. Hoods should not be up in the building.
- Clothing or jewelry displaying words or pictures that represent alcohol, tobacco, drugs, weapons, vulgarity, or a topic that would be inflammatory or offensive is not permitted.
- Open-toed and high-heeled shoes are not permitted.
For students who do not wear their uniform, students will be permitted to borrow and return a uniform from Laurel Oaks. Students will only be allowed to do this twice, and then consequences will be issued.
