Veterinary Assisting

A love for animals and taking care of them is key to veterinary assisting. You’ll learn all aspects of working in a veterinary office, from assisting with treatment procedures to prepping for surgery, conducting lab tests, and maintaining animal health care records. Maintaining proper sanitation and being willing to work hard is extremely important. Start working as a veterinary assistant or kennel staff member after high school or continue your education to pursue other careers in animal care.
