School Smiles

School Smiles is scheduled to be at Diamond Oaks on Wednesday, October 7. This program provides students with convenient, on-site dental care, including comprehensive dental services from a professional dental team. At this time, only six students have signed up. In order for School Smiles to keep the appointment, we need approximately 25 additional students to participate.

Please help us promote this opportunity by encouraging students to sign up and sharing the registration link below. Students may also stop by their counselor’s office to pick up a registration form. Please encourage our students to take advantage of this convenient opportunity to receive free dental care right here at Diamond. Thank you for helping us spread the word!

Best Point

Best Point Behavioral Health has begun conducting a series of social-emotional skill groups at your child’s school. The groups are designed to teach students new skills and strategies, which can assist them with learning productive ways of expressing their thoughts and feelings in order to improve their functioning both at school and at home. All groups offered are free of charge. If you DO NOT want your child participating in these groups, please submit the attached opt-out form by 10/9/26 to the school.

Also, please see the attachments for big changes to Ohio's Medicaid plan.  This will affect many of our families at Diamond.

Important Reminders

Uniforms: as a reminder, students are expected to remain in uniform throughout the entire school day. At Diamond Oaks, we are preparing students for professional careers, and part of that preparation includes maintaining a professional appearance while adhering to workplace and safety expectations. Hoodies are not permitted on campus because they can create safety concerns in many of our career technical labs and do not align with professional dress standards. Homeschool spirit wear may be worn on Fridays only; however, some programs may require students to wear specific attire during lab activities to comply with safety protocols. We appreciate your support in helping students develop the professional habits and workplace readiness skills that will contribute to their future success.  Please see the attachment for more information.

Outside Food & Drink: just a reminder, due to federal guidelines, students are not permitted to bring in outside food or drink without permission. The only exception is packed lunches. All liquids need to be in personal thermoses.

Cellphones: students are not permitted to use cellphones except at lunch.  This is in accordance with state law.  Please see the attachment for more information.

Our Auto Collision classes continue to make excellent progress this term as students develop both technical expertise and the Next Ready skills needed for success in the workforce. Junior students are building a strong foundation in metal finishing, dent repair, surface preparation, and automotive refinishing while demonstrating safe shop practices and growing as Skilled Professionals. Senior students are expanding their knowledge through advanced collision repair techniques, including structural repairs and auto estimating, while strengthening their abilities as Critical Thinkers who analyze vehicle damage and determine proper repair procedures.

Across all class levels, students are actively working toward industry-recognized I-CAR certifications and applying classroom knowledge through hands-on projects. Through collaboration in the shop environment, students are developing as Effective Communicators, learning to work as a team, share ideas, and communicate professionally. We are proud of the dedication, professionalism, and continuous growth our students demonstrate each day as they become Next Ready graduates prepared for successful careers in the collision repair industry.
