Happy Friday, Live Oaks Families,
Currently we are juggling 3 hats! We are double, triple checking all the boxes for our seniors to ensure they have what they need to both graduate and are ready for what's next in their plans. We are also making sure our juniors are credit ready for their senior year and have industry experience plans for the summer if they are ready and interested. Finally, we are welcoming a whole new group of sophomores that were accepted for our programs next year. All said, we are all deep in “answering question” mode around here. If you have any questions, just ask! You can email the teacher or counselor. You can always email me, as well, and I can get you in touch with the best person to help you.
Just a quick repeat...Staff Appreciation Week is coming up the week of May 4. Please consider helping us make the week special for our teachers and staff. Here is a link if you're able to contribute gift cards for raffles during the week or a treat for staff in the lounge. We don't have the PTA machine here like the home schools, so we hope that you'll sign up and help us make sure all our staff knows they are appreciated! Thank you to those of you that have already signed up. I am so grateful!!
Thanks for all your support!
Dr. Amy Crouse

Great Oaks Career Campuses do not charge tuition or school fees as part of our mission to make career technical education more widely available. Other than uniforms, there are no costs to participate in our programs. This year, instead of asking for traditional school fees as required at your home schools, we're
inviting you to invest directly in something that makes a real impact—our Career
& Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs).
These student-led organizations develop leadership, technical skills, and real-world readiness that prepare our students for college and careers. From competitions to community servlce to professional development, your support fuels everything we do.

We want to make sure you're well-informed in the event of a school closure, such as those due to inclement weather. Knowing where to look for official announcements will help keep everyone safe and minimize confusion.
How We Notify You of a Closure
If Live Oaks Career Campus must close, we will send out notifications using these methods:
-
ParentSquare (Primary Method): This is our most direct and fastest communication channel. You'll receive a notification immediately.
-
School Website: Check the homepage for an alert or banner announcement.
-
Local News Stations: The closure will be reported through local television and radio outlets.
To ensure you get the quickest notification of any school closure, please take a moment to verify that you are actively receiving notices from us via ParentSquare.
- If you're not receiving them, or are unsure, please log into your account or contact the school office for assistance.
- Ensuring your contact information is up-to-date in ParentSquare is the most effective way to stay informed.
Inclement Weather Note
If the closure is due to inclement weather, please remember:
- Follow your student's affiliated high school's closure/delay announcements.
- If Live Oaks remains open but your student cannot attend, please contact their instructors for assignment updates.
Your cooperation in keeping your contact information current helps us keep everyone safe and informed!
