Happy Friday, Live Oaks Families,
Academic success, good attendance, and work ethic are important considerations for our lab instructors as they support student employability. Each quarter we publish attendance and honor roll data for each lab combining both the Level 1 and Level 2 together for a little positive competition.
For the 2nd quarter, our attendance leaders were:
-
1st Place: IT Academy and Career X - 70% of students with 93% attendance or better
-
2nd Place: Digital Arts and Design - 68.9%
-
3rd Place: Auto Tech. - 66.7%
Our 2nd quarter Honor Roll leaders were:
- Congratulations to Career X for 100% of students making the honor roll!!
-
1st Place: Health Tech A - 87% of students made the honor roll (and 66% made the Dean's List!!)
-
2nd Place: Veterinary Assist - 75%
-
3rd Place: Exercise Science - 73%
CTSO competitions continue. Watch our social media for photos, updates and celebrations. There were more local SkillsUSA competitions in Auto Collision and Culinary in the past week. BPA had regionals last weekend and we have several students advancing to state. HOSA competitions just finished phase one of their regional competitions. Every one of the CTSOs operates differently and even the labs within a CTSO have different venues and dates. I can NOT keep track of it all, but I can tell you that the students demonstrate a pride in their work that impresses the heck out of me. I wish I could bottle the energy they have when they invite me to watch and find me to share their results.
Thank you, again, for sharing your amazing students with us! I really do enjoy them!
Dr. Amy Crouse
Dean of Instruction

Great Oaks Career Campuses do not charge tuition or school fees as part of our mission to make career technical education more widely available. Other than uniforms, there are no costs to participate in our programs. This year, instead of asking for traditional school fees as required at your home schools, we're
inviting you to invest directly in something that makes a real impact—our Career
& Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs).
These student-led organizations develop leadership, technical skills, and real-world readiness that prepare our students for college and careers. From competitions to community servlce to professional development, your support fuels everything we do.
