Live Oaks Families,
Today we welcomed sophomores from our affiliate schools to explore their interest in attending the Oaks. It's one of my favorite events because I get to hear our current students - many of whom are juniors - talk about their labs. I wish you could see the pride they demonstrate and how they share how much they have already learned. It's amazing to me every year and I absolutely love it.
We also want to give a shout out to our SkillsUSA student leadership team that will return from Columbus today after attending the Fall Leadership Conference this week. We do have two students running for Regional Officer positions, Kyler McFadden (AVX2/West Clermont) and Olivia Robbe (COS2/Batavia). Regardless of the outcome, I am incredibly proud of them for wanting to take on a state level role representing Live Oaks. Other student leaders attending are Kevin Foster (AVX2/Goshen), Ethan Schenkel, (HEQ1/Batavia), Aaron Nolen (WELD2/Milford), and David Rhodus (WELD2/Loveland). It's incredible to see them taking advantage of additional learning opportunities.
This week marked the mid-term for quarter 2 already. Next week is a short week, and Live Oaks is in session on Monday and Tuesday. The semester end aligns with the last day before winter break on Thursday, 12/18/25. For those of looking ahead, we return on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
We are grateful that you share your students with us and we hope that you all are able to find some quality family time during this holiday break.
Dr. Amy Crouse
Dean of Instruction

The Student Council and CareerX are excited to announce a joint school-wide drive to support our local community partner, Empower Youth! We need your student's help (and yours!) to make this drive a huge success.
Empower Youth works hard to provide essential food bags to local families throughout the year. They have specifically requested our help collecting the following items:
- Cans of Meat Ravioli
- Packets of Chicken Ramen
Please encourage your student to participate! Every donation makes a tangible difference in supporting local families in need. Thank you for your generosity!

Great Oaks Career Campuses do not charge tuition or school fees as part of our mission to make career technical education more widely available. Other than uniforms, there are no costs to participate in our programs. This year, instead of asking for traditional school fees as required at your home schools, we're
inviting you to invest directly in something that makes a real impact—our Career
& Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs).
These student-led organizations develop leadership, technical skills, and real-world readiness that prepare our students for college and careers. From competitions to community servlce to professional development, your support fuels everything we do.
