Happy Halloween, Live Oaks,
It's only a 4-day week but we stay busy!
- We sent our JROTC Raiders teams off Thursday morning for Nationals.
- Student Council hosted a spirit week and had our mascot, Oakley the Squirrel deliver "Boo Grams". Several student council members also got to attend Leadership Day with the Anthony Munoz Foundation.
- Health tech got started with clinicals.
- Culinary held a Halloween serve with reservations open to the public. If you missed that, there's another one on 11/14 so watch our social media.
- Parks and Recreation was out at the Cincinnati Zoo and working at Stonelick.
- Our Student Ambassadors were busy recruiting sophomores at Turpin and Batavia.
- Our ECE students are working with preschoolers, while Animal Science and Vet Tech are caring for client pets, and Cosmetology seniors are serving clients on Tuesday and Thursdays.
And, honestly, that's just off the top of my head. I can hardly keep up with all the great things our teachers and students are doing every day, but I easily get my 10,000 steps in trying!
I'm grateful every day that I get to serve students and families at Live Oaks. One of our traditions at Live Oaks is our “Staff Shout Outs” each Friday on the morning announcements. Students submit a quick message of gratitude or celebration to a staff member using this link. In addition to being read over the announcements, the teacher gets a card with the message printed out so they can see who sent it. You are invited to use this link if you have a staff member that has made a difference for your child. Small gestures go a long way!
Have a great weekend!
Dr. Amy Crouse
Dean of Instruction

Great Oaks Career Campuses do not charge tuition or school fees as part of our mission to make career technical education more widely available. Other than uniforms, there are no costs to participate in our programs. This year, instead of asking for traditional school fees as required at your home schools, we're
inviting you to invest directly in something that makes a real impact—our Career
& Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs).
These student-led organizations develop leadership, technical skills, and real-world readiness that prepare our students for college and careers. From competitions to community servlce to professional development, your support fuels everything we do.
