Scarlet Oaks Navy JROTC
Our mission: To motivate young people to be better citizens.
The Scarlet Oaks Navy JROTC has earned Unit Achievement Honors consecutively for the past 6 years with a proven track record of success.
The Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) is designed to teach the value of citizenship, leadership, service to the community, personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment while promoting self-esteem, teamwork and self-discipline.
The program prepares students for responsible leadership roles while creating an awareness of personal rights, responsibilities, and privileges as American citizens.
There is no military obligation for students who enroll in the JROTC program. However, placement credit (higher rank and pay) may be awarded to those who choose to enter any branch of the military.
The Scarlet Oaks JROTC offers field trips to such sites as U. S. Navy “Boot Camp” and Fort Knox, as well as participation in a wide range of activities.
