Instructor, Secondary Practical Nursing
I received my ADN from Miami University Middletown & started my journey as a RN. I returned to school and completed a part-time RN to BSN program at UC. I later completed a master's degree in Education at Wright State University. My work experience includes hospital medical/surgical and mother/baby units, home-health care, insurance, and case management. I started my career at Scarlet Oaks as a lab instructor for Health Technology. I began teaching SPN in 2006, the first year the program was offered, and have been busy assisting young minds to become great nurses ever since!
I have been in the industry for 34 years and have taught for 22.
What I love about about teaching is that it is never boring! I enjoy working with students in both the classroom and clinical settings and watching students grow and mature.
The best part of my classroom is how proud students are when they receive an LPN nursing license.
