About me:
I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication, having minored in Audio/Video Production. Upon graduation, I went to work as a freelance designer. I worked primarily in web design but also spent time building visual identities for clients. I did that for about five years before I took over the Digital Arts & Design program at Live Oaks. At the beginning of my teaching career, I went back to school and earned my master's degree in Education. While teaching, I continued to work as a freelance graphic designer, taking on small projects when school wasn't in session. I even had the opportunity to take a sabbatical in 2015 and went back out into industry working as a creative director at a small design agency in Cincinnati. I returned to the DAAD program a year later after significantly growing my creative and technical skills, which I am now passing along to my students.

I have worked in the industry for 18 years and taught for 16.

My favorite thing about teaching is getting to work with my students every day. I get the rare honor of helping them find their creative path, and I don't take that for granted. Hopefully, somewhere along the way, the program makes a positive impact in their lives.

The best part of my classroom is the creative freedom my students have to forge their own unique creative path.
