Branden Osborne
About me:
I started machining at the age of 15 when I enrolled at Diamond Oaks. I graduated at the age of 18 in 1998 and became a welder for two years. I joined the Marine Corps in 2000 was deployed in 15 countries including the war in Iraq in 2003. I was lucky enough to work on some machining projects in the Marine Corps, designing and fabricating a quick detach mount for the 240 Gulf on the IFAVs . When I was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, I started into aerospace. I worked in aerospace for a little over 11 years on overhauling jet engine components. During this time I taught an adult education night program at Diamond Oaks and just knew this was what I wanted to do as a career. My time here at the Oaks has been exciting. The students change every year which makes it interesting as well, as I love change for the good.
I spent 27 years in the machining welding industry and have been teaching at Great Oaks for 6 years.
I love the reward of watching kids succeed in life. I love changing a kid's negative thought process on life to a positive hungry-for-success thought process.
The best part of my classroom is being able to build and make things with your hands and the family camaraderie we have.
