Jody Bowerman

About me:

After high school, I went to college and wound up in the food service industry. After all the long hours and late nights, I decided that I wanted something better for my family. I attended Butler Tech as an adult student and earned the credentials I needed to begin a career in HVAC. I then began working as an apprentice and continued learning about the trade. After two years, I became a lead residential service technician. Two years after that, I was offered a Service Manager position at my company. Unfortunately for my company, Great Oaks came calling. They were looking for an HVAC instructor for the high school students.

My experiences in food service, management and HVAC provide me with a unique set of skills that are perfect for a learning environment. My time spent at Diamond so far has been wonderful. Getting to train the next generation is an experience that I really enjoy and I look forward to working here for many years to come!

My favorite part about teaching is being able to give all of my students access to skills that will benefit them no matter what they chose to do in life.

The best part of my classroom is the students. They really make every day worthwhile.
